Getting started

What is SailoBot and how does it work?

SailoBot runs automated trading strategies on the spot market of your own exchange account. You pick a strategy and set its basics, and the bot watches prices and trades by those rules. Your trading money stays on your exchange.

What should I do after creating my account?

Choose a plan and pay, connect an exchange, then create your first bot. The steps disappear from your home page once you finish them.

Do I need to keep the site open for my bots to work?

No. Bots run on our trading engine, not in your browser, so you can close the site. You only need it to create, change or follow your bots.

Connecting exchanges

How do I create a connection key without withdrawal permission?

On your exchange, create an API key with read and spot trading permissions only, never withdrawal or transfer, and restrict it to our server's IP address 34.153.222.181 alone. Then paste the key and its secret into SailoBot and test the connection. A key with withdrawal permission, or one that isn't restricted to that address alone, is refused.

Which exchange does a new bot use?

With one linked exchange, new bots use it automatically. With more than one, the first step of creating a bot asks which exchange to use, starting with the one you used last. A bot stays on its exchange. The top of your account shows the USDT balance on each exchange, for information.

What happens if the connection to my exchange is lost?

Only the bots on that exchange are affected. They show "Affected by lost connection", with the last update time, until you reconnect. Bots on other exchanges keep working.

How do I pause buying or exit a trade?

Pausing stops new purchases while sales continue at their targets. Exiting now sells after showing you the quantity, the estimated result, fees and commission, and asking you to confirm.

Subscriptions & fees

When is the profit commission charged?

Only when a bot sells at a profit. The commission is a share of the profit from the price movement, set by your plan: the current rates are on the Pricing page. If the result after exchange fees is a loss or zero, there's no commission, and it's never more than what's left after those fees. Nothing is charged on buying or on unrealized profit.

How do I upgrade my plan, and what does it cost?

You pay only the price difference for the time left, and your end date stays the same. For example (example prices), moving from a $60 plan to a $100 plan with half a year left costs $20.

What happens when my subscription ends?

Your bots stop buying new coins until you renew. Selling at your targets continues, so your open trades aren't stuck. Your settings and purchases are kept. Renewal is manual, and you get reminders before the end date.

Topping up the wallet isn't available. Your wallet holds your gift balance and referral rewards, and they pay your subscription and commissions. Your trading money stays in your own exchange account.

Withdrawing from the wallet isn't available. Your trading money is never in this wallet: it stays in your own exchange account, and you withdraw it there as usual.

Spot trading means buying a coin with USDT and owning it right away, then selling it later. There's no borrowing or leverage. You can still lose money if the price falls.

Unrealized profit or loss is what you'd have if you sold now; it changes with the price. It becomes realized only when the coins are actually sold.
